From the 25th of October, 2023, it becomes mandatory for all Member States to use the new electronic form (eForms) for announcements in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Until that date, public procurement entities may, at their own discretion, opt for the use of this new form. This is what's happening, for example, in Estonia.

Anticipating this new scenario, Affereo has developed a dual system that allows access not only to business opportunities launched via the still-active form but also those announced with eForms.

Firstly, what does eForms entail?

The concept of "eForms" is fascinating. It's a standardized form that ensures uniformity in the data filled in by adjudicating entities. The existing forms will be replaced by new ones implemented by the European Union according to the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/1780 of 23 September 2019.

What is the main objective of this type of form?

EForm has a straightforward purpose: to enhance public administration's effectiveness, transparency, and fairness. This eForm aims to develop better public policies based on precise, structured, and easily accessible data, enabling more informed decision-making. The eForms respond to the requirement for standardizing public contractual data to create an Open Data Space.

What is the Open Data Space?

Open Data Space is a European initiative by the European Commission to provide access to public contractual data and lead to more efficient public contracts to boost digital transformation.

Why create an Open Data Space (ODS)?

Open Data Space provides better business opportunities, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises. It simplifies decision-making and streamlines the process of completing new forms. What will change in public procurement platforms?

Though it required extra development, we were committed to launching our platform with this capability. This is a significant advantage that will benefit our users.
